A free and simple car racing game!

City Racing is an easy-to-play sandbox car racing game. Since it’s free to play, it has been immensely popular among sandbox fans around the world. The game starts with a wrecked car, which you need to take to the garage. Once you’re introduced to the mechanic, you get a little brief about the objectives and tasks. Like StreetRacer and X Speed Race, you can drive the car around the city to find different events. Each win increases your ranking and allows you to look for car upgrades.

Plenty of maps and upgrades!

Gametop has always been popular for a wide range of free games without annoying adware and restrictions. While the developer offers arcade games, shooting games, and more, its racing games have been downloaded by fans around the world. Over the years, City Racing has become a leading sandbox game. If you enjoy car racing games, the adrenaline-pumping and fast-paced environment will keep you engaged for long periods of time. Since the game comes with huge maps and plenty of levels, you won’t be disappointed with the experience on your PC.

Is City Racing a good game?

As mentioned earlier, City Racing focuses on huge maps, some even bigger than popular titles like Car Racing Adventure. While playing the game, you can choose from a wide range of cars. There’s no shortage of exciting and interesting challenges to keep you engaged. City Racing focuses on several opponents, corrupt cars, and illegal street racing to give you a vibrant racing experience.

If you enjoy GTA-like games, this one will seem impressive. Since the game allows you to upgrade cars, you don’t get bored or feel monotonous. As you keep winning races, you’re rewarded with ‘money’, which can be used to make upgrades. It helps you get an edge over competitors. Visually, City Racing seems quite awkward. Unfortunately, the physics looks unrealistic, and the game comes with outdated graphics. Compared to GT Racing 2 and Asphalt 8, City Racing doesn’t match the current standards of visuals.

While it’s a fun experience, the pedestrians on the streets, car crashes, and random hits on the road seem unreal. Moreover, the English voice over is badly translated in the form of subtitles, which can be quite annoying for most players. As of now, the biggest thing going for City Racing is that the game’s absolutely free.

How to play City Racing?

Like other car racing games, City Racing comes with a set of objectives and tasks. However, the game includes multiple maps and missions to keep you engaged. Once you start the game, you arrive in the city in a wrecked car. The first step is to take the car to a garage, where you meet a mechanic. After a short conversation, which involves a brief about the tasks, you’re on your way to random driving in the streets.

The character is in need of money, and as such, starts racing in the streets. City Racing focuses on a 30-place leaderboard, where each place gets different rewards. The game comes with two different types of races. In the first one, you can race in the street against opponents. In the second, you race against time.

The difficulty level in the game varies for each race. If you don’t hit civilians, you can earn bonus points. Similarly, destroying police cars gets you rewarded. Once you earn enough money, you can upgrade your car’s transmission, tires, body, and engine. In fact, you can even buy a new car.

What’s different about City Racing?

Unlike other racing car games, City Racing doesn’t start with a brand new, shiny car. In fact, it starts with a wrecked machine, which you need to get repaired. Once the car is fixed, you can indulge in street racing to earn credits, which help you upgrade the car. When you start playing the game, you have an opportunity to drive around the city. It helps you understand the map and characters.

Once you get a hang on things, you can start looking for events, where you can race against time or opponents to improve rankings. Each race gives you a different number of ‘points’, allowing you to upgrade brakes, suspension, tires, and other parts of the car. With enough credits, you can even purchase a new car.

While the city doesn’t have anything spectacular, the races are fun and fast-paced. Crashes seem unreal but give you an adrenaline rush to destroy police cars and kill opponents. For anyone interested in GTA-style games, this one will be an excellent choice. If you keep upgrading the car, it gives you hours of fun without going through the trouble of making purchases.

In order to maximize the fun, it’s better to try a few drives around the city. It helps you get a better understanding of the car’s handling, including turns in tight corners and sudden stops. A fun aspect of the game is that police cars can stop you whenever you’re going too fast. It leads to some engaging interactions, where you can even try to run away. While this game may not be one of the leading names in the industry, it’s still a decent racing game.

An adventure-packed sandbox racing game!

City Racing for Windows is a free, fun-to-play car racing game. It provides you with the freedom to explore huge maps. Moreover, you can indulge in street races and several missions to earn rewards and upgrade cars. City Racing lets you perform a wide range of stunts, focusing on jumps, bumper hits, and other elements.

Since you can either drive freely in the city or indulge in a race against opponents, City Racing doesn’t feel monotonous for a long time. In the game, you can also work as a cab driver to earn money. Without a doubt, City Racing download is a good choice for sandbox fans. It might not be at par with Asphalt 9: Legends and other popular titles but gives a good chance to enjoy your time on the computer.
